JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Executive Director of Student Assignment and Information Systems
Term: 12 Months
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Operations Officer
JOB GOAL: To monitor and manage district-wide Infinite Campus application within the Home Base System, supervise day-to-day School Assignment processes, complete State and Federal Reports, serve as the District’s EDDIE coordinator and oversee student records department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent training and/or experience.
- Minimum 4 years of IT/Education Technology project management experience.
- Ability to function independently.
- Skill as a facilitator and presenter.
- Extensive knowledge of student information software such as Infinite Campus, PowerTeacher, and other Home Base applications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct and supervise the Elementary and Secondary Student Information Coordinators to ensure program integrity and compliance with state reporting requirements.
- Direct and Supervise the District Records Department
- Complete all State and District Required reports on enrollment
- Serve as the District’s EDDIE coordinator
- Work closely and provide backup support to the Student Information Coordinators.
- Maintain and issue student information system security roles and rights to the district’s users.
- Coordinate and schedule monthly meetings with data managers to prepare them for state reporting compliance processes and procedures.
- Conduct periodic audits with coordinators of school student information data to ensure accuracy based on state and local board policies.
- Coordinate on-site and off-site training and support district-wide as needed.
- Attend conferences and classes to develop and maintain knowledge of the student information system.
- Provide data troubleshooting when issues arise.
- Participate, contribute, and engage as a contributing member of the Information Services team
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms.
- Requires the ability to speak before groups of people with poise, voice control and confidence.
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion.
