PAY GRADE: 57 ($31,620 - $34,908)

 

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months

JOB Description:  Performs a variety of general carpentry, maintenance, and repair work on the building and school grounds in order to enhance the instructional environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:  High School graduate or equivalent with experience in maintenance, new construction, and/or the use of hand and power tools preferred. Ability to consistently follow directions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs general carpentry in the construction, repair or alteration of roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, and screens.
• Selects, cuts and trims lumber to size, and other appropriate work according to oral or written specifications. 

 

• Operates, adjusts, and maintains power tools and equipment. 

• Replaces glass in doors and windows. 

• Builds and repairs doors, tables, chairs, and desks. 

• Repairs blinds; installs and/or removes white boards and cork boards. 

• Assists in changing fluorescent light tubes.

• Performs heavy tasks for considerable periods of time. 

• Works Independently and/or as part of a team.
