TITLE: Flooring Foreman FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt

Reports To: Facilities Officer
Term: 12 months
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED from regionally or nationally accredited institution • Five years of experience in flooring, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Facility Services Director To oversee all flooring (carpet, vinyl, ceramic etc.) installation for the district. To ensure proper completion and installation of work. order projects; altering, repairing and installing all of the flooring needs to enhance the instructional environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Coordinates with site administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently • Estimates· materials and/or equipment needed to complete work projects • Installs carpet, tile, wood and other flooring material for the purpose of ensuring proper completion and installation of work order project • Maintai.Q.s tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition • Procures equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items • Requests quotations for the purpose of providing cost information, purchasing and securing items • Performs a wide variety of maintenance skills for the purpose of maintaining school buildings • This.position will direct the work of less skilled workers on projects, train apprentices, and may work independently or in conjunction with others PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/RESTRICTIONS: • No lifting greater than 30lbs. No lifting greater than 5lbs with the left arm above shoulder level. • Must be able to climb ladder and be capable of traveling through needed crawlspace area.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Possession of a valid NC Driver's License
