JOB DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION:  Data and Assessment Coordinator

 

LOCATION:  Curriculum, Instruction, and Accountability

 

PAY:  Administrator Salary Schedule

 

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:  12 Months

 

REPORTS TO:  Assistant Superintendent of Accountability and Performance

 

JOB GOAL:  Provide leadership and support in the implementation, monitoring and sustainability of a comprehensive student data and assessment system that connects assessment to instruction and facilitates the use of results to target instruction and intervention.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

 

  • Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited college/university preferred
  • Five or more years of teaching experience
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate a variety of staff, programs and activities.
  • Knowledge of statistics and data analysis
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills required to effectively facilitate coaching and staff development
  • Proficient in software applications (Microsoft Office, Google Apps. etc)

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work collaboratively with district administrators, school-based leadership teams, and teachers to facilitate implementation of the components of a comprehensive assessment system.
  • Coordinate district wide surveys and conduct data analysis of perception data.
  • Develop, implement, and manage local assessment and survey calendars
  • Support school leadership and teachers in integrating formative assessment practice by providing school-based data sessions and professional learning opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with Curriculum and Instruction teams to guide local assessment development.
  • Provide professional development to a variety of stakeholders including, but not limited to facilitating the examination of school data to improve instruction, collaborative planning, and reflective conversations.
  • Assist various stakeholders in learning how to properly administer and interpret various assessment tools and reports.
  • Facilitate the dissemination and communication of data reports for various audiences and stakeholders. 
  • Facilitate and manage data analytics and local assessment portal(s), including troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of student information pursuant to federal, state, and local policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
